How long does it take?

Most releases are accepted within 1–5 business days. Exact timing and acceptance depend on the platform.

Will my song really appear on Spotify or Apple Music?

Yes, once your release is approved by the selected streaming platform, your song will be available there as a real streaming release.

Why should I release my song through My Own Songs?

We make the process simple. You don’t need to open a distributor account, learn release requirements, prepare metadata or manage the submission yourself.

We’ve invested in a professional distribution licence that costs us hundreds per year, so you don’t have to.

We take care of the release from start to finish and send you the streaming link as soon as it goes live.

Can I share the song with friends and family?

Yes. Once the song is live, you can share the normal Spotify, Apple Music or other streaming link just like any other song.

Do I need my own artist account?

No. You don’t need to create or manage your own artist account. We handle the distribution process for you and submit your song to the selected streaming platforms.

What happens if a platform rejects my song?

Streaming platforms have their own content rules and make the final decision. If there is an issue with your submission, we’ll review it and contact you if anything is needed.

Can I release the same song on multiple platforms?

Is my song still private?

No. A streaming release is publicly accessible. Both consent boxes are therefore required.

Do I have to pay every year?

No. Your upgrade is a one-time payment to us for preparing and submitting your release.
